Rackwick
About About this hostel
This comfortable 3 star hostel is located in the scenic Rackwick Valley in the north of Hoy, overlooking Rackwick Bay.
Rackwick Hostel has two bedrooms, each with four beds. Singles, families and groups are welcome for exclusive room or whole hostel bookings. The self-catering kitchen is fitted out to a high standard and there's a communal area for relaxing and dining.
Just off the west coast towers The Old Man of Hoy, a 137m sea stack and perhaps Orkney’s most famous landmark.
The island is a fascinating variety of hills, dramatic coastal scenery and low-lying fertile land. Local wild flowers and bird life make this a must for naturalists to visit. Much of North Hoy is owned by the RSPB, where a large variety of birds live and breed. This is a great place to see puffins.
