I very much enjoyed my stay in this classic location. The hostel retains much of its old world character and that's really nice in this day and age. Louise was very welcoming and it was a pleasure meeting her.John T

A good, well equipped, clean and well cared for hostel. It attracts and interesting mix of people and it's relatively small size suits the ambience. A very welcome spot to shelter during the stormy weather. One change as with most hostels is the beds could be longer for the taller of us outdoors folk.Jack Lindsay

Superb location, superb service from the 3 members of staff encountered across the 3 nights that we stayed. Great local beers on offer. Loved it. It feels very much like English YHA's used to before they adopted their 1 size fits all policy. 11 out of 10!Peter Summers
