The Annual General Meeting of Scottish Youth Hostels Association
will take place at Edinburgh Central Youth Hostel and online on 
Saturday 14th September 2024 at 9.30am. 

We are delighted to invite members to attend the 2024 AGM either in person at Edinburgh Central Youth Hostel or online via Zoom.

The business of the 2024 AGM, as set out in our articles of association, will be included in the Annual Report for the financial year ending on 31st January 2024. Any questions relating to the 2024 AGM or the above mentioned reports will be gratefully received either by e-mail or by post to the Company Secretary by Monday 9th September 2024.

The board of Trustees is bringing forward a Special Resolution to update our articles of association (“Articles”) which will, as part of our continued efforts to operate sustainably across our activities and improve operational and financial efficiency, allow for all future correspondence with our members to be by electronic means.  We will also take the opportunity to propose other minor amendments to bring the Articles up to date. 

The proposed amendments won’t exclude any members currently receiving postal communications to continue doing so in the future.  We will write to members to notify them of the change (in the event of the Resolution being passed) and offer the opportunity by request to continue to receive correspondence in this manner.
